Michael Reynolds is a New York-based creative director who works across many disciplines\u2028 and media as an editorial stylist, exhibition and\u2028 set designer, advertising director, curator and visual brand consultant and book editor.<\/p>\n
His wide-ranging editorial, commercial, publishing and museum projects are linked by a fundamental concern with the cultural role of design and its intersection with the worlds of fine art, fashion, \u2028pop culture and broader social trends.<\/p>\n
Frequently working in close collaboration with foremost contemporary artists, photographers,\u2028 art directors and craftsmen, Reynolds is renowned \u2028for the poignancy, wit and insight he brings to all \u2028his assignments, from large-scale environmental installations and compelling image-making to consultations on brand identity and renewal.<\/p>\n
His services have been enlisted by a wide range of high-profile clients, including Calvin Klein Home and Fragrance, Herman Miller, Vera Wang,\u00a0Aerin Lauder, and many of the world\u2019s leading design, fashion and art publications. Recently, he has expanded his purview to include curating and exhibition design, with notable projects for the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo and the influential New York decorative arts gallery R 20th Century. His first book, TOM HOUSE, for Rizzoli Publications comes out in\u00a0Spring 2016.<\/p>\n
Born in Manhattan\u2019s East Village and educated at New York University, Reynolds joined the editorial staff of\u00a0Vogue\u00a0magazine in 1990. He spent six years there before joining Cond\u00e9 Nast\u2019s revitalized\u00a0House & Garden\u00a0as a senior style editor.<\/p>\n
In the mid 1990s, Reynolds became a key\u2028 member of the team that conceived and launched\u00a0Wallpaper, the award-winning,\u2028 London-based magazine that pioneered an innovative, fully integrated approach to the\u2028 subjects of art, architecture, design, fashion\u2028 and travel.<\/p>\n
